For nearly 60 years, the Graduate Program in Biochemistry and Immunology (PPGBI) has been training highly qualified professionals capable of conducting high-level scientific research in the fields of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Immunology. Our graduates also work in high schools and in higher education, as well as in industry and government sectors, thus contributing to the scientific, technological, and industrial development of the country.
Our mission is to:
1) Provide hands-on experience in both basic and applied research;
2) Foster creativity, critical thinking, and intellectual independence;
3) Cultivate strong ethical standards in scientific conduct and promote social responsibility;
4) Train leaders for the academic, corporate, and governmental sectors.
